Useful Links
This is a page dedicated to useful links that can be
accessed to make any medical enquiries you are likely to need as well as
some you might just find interesting.
An extremely useful medical site is Surgery door. This is
edited by among others Dr Mark Porter. It not only allows you to search
for details of specific conditions but allows access to some very
sophisticated sites for medical searches such as the Cochrane Library and
The British Medical Journal.

Here are some local sites that are relevant to our local
needs.
Frimley Park is where most of our hospital referrals are
made.

Drug and alcohol problems are present in any walk of life.
An ordinary GP surgery is ill-equipped to deal with such problems. For
expert help if you find yourself or a member of your family in such
difficulties, please contact Acorn as a first step towards recovery.

NHS Direct is a nurse-run 24 hours health help line
offering advice on medical problems and emergencies. Please try this site.

Information about giving blood as well as up to date
information about the Health Service can be found at the DOH website which
also has a useful search function.

Finally, if you have any interesting sites that you think
may be relevant and printable, please do not hesitate to e
mail me.
I hope you find these links of interest.
