Obtaining Prescribed Medicines
Dispensed Medicines.
We dispense medicines to some of our patients, depending upon where they live. The Health Centre has 2 dispensers, Mrs Carol Nash and Mrs Veena Sunak, to help all dispensing patients get the most from this service. Prescriptions can be dispensed at the Health Centre to patients that live in Ash Green and certain parts of Tongham and Ash Vale. If you are unsure whether your medicines can be dispensed by the Health Centre, please ask at reception.Repeat Prescriptions. If you are on regular medication, you may obtain a repeat prescription without seeing the doctor on every occasion. Your doctor will advise you how often you need to be seen to ensure you are still taking the appropriate medicine. Please ask for your repeat prescription in writing or using the computerised request form attached to your previous prescription. Doing this prevents errors. Please plan ahead and allow two working weekdays for us to prepare and check your prescription. If it means that you would run out of medicine please tell us and we will try to prepare it for you as soon as possible.
