All change.

Dr Ahmad retired from the Practice in July 2003 after spending 30 years in Ash Vale. This is a tremendous achievement in modern General Practice which is becoming increasingly stressful. Since his retirement, Dr Ahmad has been helping out at the surgery with locum work and has never looked so well. 

We are pleased to welcome Dr Claire Walton as a new 1/2 time partner and Dr Lawrence Burke who has taken over from Dr Ahmad.  Dr Walton had her first baby over the last New Year  and returned from maternity leave in early August.

We are also pleased to welcome Dr Kate Brinklow who has joined The Practice as a Salaried Partner. She now works 3 days a week.

Out Of Hours Care.

With the arrival of the new GP contract that started in April 2004, the first change that people will see straight away is the stopping of Saturday surgeries. This work will be taken over by the Blackwater GP Cooperative known as Frimley Primary Care Services Ltd. See the page on out of hours care for more info.

Forthcoming changes.

We are very fortunate to have two Registrars training with us. Dr Karuna Sharma, who joined us in December 2004 and Dr Nicky Elliott, who joined us in Feb 2005.
