For those who cannot be offered and NHS appointment, a visit to a private chiropodist may be helpful. When choosing a chiropodist, it is best to choose one with the letters ‘SRCH’ or ‘FCHS’ after the name. The letters show that the chiropodist is state-registered.

Diabetic Clinic

Elderly Screening

A routine check is available to all of our patients over the age of 75. To make an appointment please phone 01252 317551.

Eye Care

Your eyesight is precious. In order to be sure that your sight is as good as possible and that no eye diseases (for example glaucoma) are developing, a regular check by a qualified ophthalmic optician (now often known as an optometrist) is very important. The letters ‘FBCO’ and ‘MBCO’ after the optometrist’s name indicate that the person is a fully trained optometrist.

Family Planning

Mrs Christine Ralph takes a Family Planning Clinic that runs on Tuesday. If this is not convenient all  the doctors provide full contraceptive services during the normal practice hours. These include prescription of the post-coital (or morning after) pill for emergency contraception. This has to be given within 72 hours, so please explain to the receptionist the degree of urgency.
